5 Days Jaipur & Udaipur Tour
The Pink City and the City of Lakes, linked by a scenic drive with a stop at holy Pushkar.
Sacred lake town of the Brahma Temple
Fifty-two ghats around a holy lake, the rare Brahma Temple and a bohemian bazaar make Pushkar one of India’s most spiritual small towns.
Pushkar is one of the oldest cities in India and among Hinduism’s most sacred pilgrimage sites. According to legend, the lake appeared where a lotus flower fell from Lord Brahma’s hand.
Join the evening aarti on the ghats, visit the Brahma Temple — one of very few dedicated to the creator god — and climb to Savitri Mata Temple for sweeping sunrise views. The world-famous Pushkar Camel Fair takes place around Kartik Purnima (usually October–November).
Pushkar is just 15 km from Ajmer, making it easy to combine with a visit to Ajmer Sharif Dargah.
Pushkar is about 3 hours by road from Jaipur. Ajmer Junction (15 km) is the nearest railway station and Kishangarh Airport is roughly 45 minutes away.
